AAIM (Asian Americans in Media) is a student organization based at the University of Washington. Our mission is to create a community and space for creative Asian Americans to collaborate, learn, and be given a platform to show their work and art. We aim to give opportunities to Asians of all sorts - first generation immigrants, adoptees, South Asians, etc. Our members are artists, designers, writers, photographers, and musicians. We believe everyone has something to offer, and everyone can learn a thing or two from one another.
We are currently preparing to launch “Their Story, My Story”; a full production magazine featuring writing, photography, art, and interviews with our members and other prominent people around Seattle. The featured section and title refers to honoring our families’ sacrifices, and bridging the generation gap by telling their stories and ours. Our magazine debuts May 24th with a launch party at Parnassus Cafe, featuring art and music from our members and supporters.
